Partners go live with Congressional primaries technology

Over the past week we’ve been excited to watch a number of news organizations around Illinois (14 to be exact) complete implementation of our Congressional Primaries 2012 technology on their sites.

We’ve ended up with a diverse group of partners—from niche neighborhood publishers, to down state broadcasters, to the big traditional players in Chicago.

Elements of the CongressionalPrimaries.org service—either as complete pages or widgets—have been incorporated into the following sites:

Daily newspapers

  • Chicago Sun-Times
  • Daily Herald
  • Northwest Herald
  • Quincy Herald-Whig

Broadcasters

  • NBC5 Chicago
  • WTTW Chicago
  • WBEZ
  • WREX
  • KHQA

Community sites

  • The Gate Newspaper (Back of the Yards)
  • The Times Weekly (Joliet)
  • Progress Illinois
  • Chicago Talks
  • Evanston Now

We’re proud to be partnered with each site and thankful for their interest and participation. We hope that together we’ll learn more about how technology can add value to political coverage and what its limitations are. We expect also to continue learning about how the Knight Lab can best add value to the Chicagoland publishing community as they pursue coverage news events.

If you are a publisher who would like to use our technology, it’s not too late. We’d be happy to set you up with the Congressional Primaries technology, or to work with you on future projects.
